Post-Publication Discussion Policy
Integritas Terbuka: Peace and Interfaith Studies (INT) encourages responsible scholarly discussion and critical engagement with articles published in the journal. Post-publication discussion forms an important part of scholarly communication by enabling readers and researchers to clarify, evaluate, challenge, or further develop published research.
Readers, authors, researchers, and other interested parties may submit comments, scholarly critiques, clarifications, or concerns regarding published articles to the Editorial Team. Submissions should be evidence-based, academically relevant, respectful, and directly related to the published work.
Post-publication discussion may take the form of:
- Letters to the Editor, containing scholarly comments, critiques, or clarifications concerning a published article;
- Author Responses, allowing the author(s) of the original article an opportunity to respond to substantive scholarly criticism;
- Scholarly Commentaries, where an article generates significant academic discussion relevant to the journal’s scope;
- Corrections or Clarifications, when discussion identifies factual, methodological, bibliographical, or interpretative errors; and
- Research Integrity Concerns, including concerns regarding plagiarism, data reliability, authorship, competing interests, ethical violations, or other matters affecting the integrity of the publication.
Submissions concerning published articles will be assessed by the Editor-in-Chief or designated members of the Editorial Team. Where appropriate, the journal may request supporting evidence, invite the original author(s) to respond, and subject formal scholarly critiques or responses to editorial assessment or peer review before publication.
The journal will not consider submissions containing personal attacks, defamatory statements, discriminatory language, unsupported allegations, or material unrelated to the scholarly content of the article.
Where post-publication discussion raises substantial concerns regarding the reliability, integrity, or ethical status of an article, the matter will be handled in accordance with the journal’s Retraction, Withdrawal, and Correction Policy. Appropriate editorial action may include a correction, an Expression of Concern, a retraction, or another formal notice.
Post-publication discussions and related editorial actions will be handled fairly, transparently, and as promptly as reasonably possible in accordance with relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
