Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
Use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies
Authors may use generative artificial intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted technologies only as supporting tools in the preparation of a manuscript. Such technologies must not replace the authors’ scholarly judgment, intellectual contribution, critical analysis, interpretation of evidence, or responsibility for the conclusions presented in the manuscript.
All data, information, references, quotations, analytical claims, interpretations, and conclusions included in the manuscript must be carefully reviewed and verified by the authors for accuracy, relevance, validity, and scholarly integrity. Authors remain fully responsible for the entire content of the submitted and published manuscript, including any material produced or assisted by AI technologies.
Generative AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, originality, or ethical implications of scholarly work.
Authors who use generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in manuscript preparation or as part of the research process must transparently disclose such use. The declaration should identify the name of the AI tool, the purpose for which it was used, and the extent of its use. When AI technologies are employed as part of the research method, data processing, analysis, or other substantive research procedures, their use must also be described appropriately in the Research Method section.
Routine tools used solely for spelling, grammar, reference management, or basic formatting do not require disclosure unless they employ generative AI to produce or substantially modify scholarly content.
[Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies]
Authors who used generative AI or AI-assisted technologies should include the following statement:
During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL] for [PURPOSE]. The author(s) subsequently reviewed, verified, and revised the generated material and take full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and content of the manuscript.
If no generative AI was used:
The author(s) declare that no generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were used to generate the scholarly content, analysis, interpretation, or conclusions of this manuscript.
