Vol. 5 No. 1 (2026): Integritas Terbuka: Peace and Interfaith Studies
Integritas Terbuka: Peace and Interfaith Studies Vol. 5 No. 1 (2026) presents eight scholarly articles that critically engage with contemporary issues of peace, religion, identity, citizenship, media, and cultural transformation in both Indonesian and global contexts. This issue offers diverse theoretical and empirical perspectives, including analyses of social violence representation in digital media through Johan Galtung’s conflict theory, the relevance of Reinhold Niebuhr’s Christian realism in addressing twenty-first-century geopolitical crises, and the cultural agency of indigenous communities in negotiating tradition and digitalization through social media. Other contributions explore art as a medium of peace and conflict transformation, the relevance of Ahmad Syafii Maarif’s thought in overcoming identity politics, the citizenship challenges of Confucian communities in post–New Order Indonesia, and the political thought of Nurcholish Madjid in bridging revelation, tradition, and reason. The issue is further enriched by a philosophical examination of value disorientation among Generation Z in the digital age through the perspective of Max Scheler.
This issue features eight articles authored by 20 scholars from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Italy (4 countries), representing a diverse range of academic, religious, and civil society institutions. Contributors are affiliated with institutions including Parahyangan Catholic University Bandung, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Universiti Malaya, University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Brunei Darussalam, Sekolah Katholik Notre Dame Jakarta, Yayasan Perspektif Sosiologi Indonesia, and Misioneras Clarisas del Santísimo Sacramento in Rome, Italy. Together, these contributions reaffirm Integritas Terbuka’s commitment to advancing critical, interdisciplinary, and globally engaged scholarship on peacebuilding, interfaith relations, citizenship, and social transformation in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
