Studi ini mengeksplorasi inisiatif membangun kepercayaan (trust building) di antara pemuda Muslim dan Kristen di Kenya dan Indonesia sebagai respons terhadap luka sejarah, radikalisasi, dan ketegangan antar agama. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan studi kasus komparatif, penelitian ini menelusuri bagaimana dialog antaragama, penyembuhan trauma kolektif, dan pemberdayaan pemuda diimplementasikan melalui Program Trustbuilding (TBP) oleh Initiatives of Change (IofC). Temuan menunjukkan bahwa TBP di Kenya dan Indonesia mengadaptasi modul Trustbuilding internasional dengan mengkontekstualisasikan melalui metode bercerita, dialog inklusif, dan pendekatan kreatif untuk menjangkau pemuda. Di Kenya, TBP muncul sebagai respons akar rumput terhadap konflik etnis dan terorisme Al-Shabaab, dengan penekanan pada rekonsiliasi melalui olahraga dan terapi naratif. Sementara itu, di Indonesia, TBP menanggapi ketegangan antar agama pasca reformasi dan radikalisasi pemuda dengan mengintegrasikan permainan papan, aktivitas reflektif, dan pengakuan terhadap luka sejarah. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman bagaimana membangun kepercayaan dan dialog antaragama pemuda dapat mentransformasi luka sosial menjadi aksi kolektif untuk perdamaian. Meskipun kedua negara menunjukkan pendekatan yang unik, nilai-nilai bersama dalam menciptakan ruang aman dan pertukaran narasi menyoroti arah rekonsiliasi yang serupa. Artikel ini berargumen bahwa pendekatan trust building yang kontekstual tidak hanya mendorong koeksistensi damai, tetapi juga menantang warisan marginalisasi dan konflik. Penelitian mendatang disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi dinamika Global Utara–Global Selatan serta implikasi pascakolonial dalam upaya trust building. Studi ini menyerukan pentingnya investasi berkelanjutan pada platform antaragama yang digerakkan oleh pemuda sebagai bagian dari tata kelola yang baik, pengembangan masyarakat sipil yang inklusif, dan kemajuan ilmiah dalam praktik perdamaian.
