Agama diyakini sebagai kuil untuk eksplorasi spiritualitas manusia yang juga digunakan untuk mendekatkan diri dengan Tuhan dan memuliakan antarsesama. Namun, dalam tradisi yang patriarkal, agama malah digunakan untuk membenarkan peminggiran peran perempuan, yang dalam konteks ini, spiritualitasnya. Bagi Rabia al-Adawiyya dalam tradisi Islam abad ke-8 di Irak dan bagi Santa Thérèse dalam tradisi Katolik abad ke-19 di Prancis, mistisisme dapat menjadi cara untuk mentransformasi spiritualitas yang memberdayakan, bukan meminggirkan. Dengan kajian Integritas Terbuka, tulisan ini akan mengeksplorasi mistisisme Rabia dan Santa Thérèse dalam tradisi agama masing-masing, dan mengulik kontribusi mereka dalam memperjuangkan pentingnya tafsir spiritualitas religius perempuan dalam perspektif mistisisme. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka kualitatif.
